Take advantage of your stay to indulge in a
long-standing fantasy:
A day's cruise
on the Burgundy Canal aboard our Hotel Barges
After a hearty breakfast at the Château la Chassagne,
you will be taken to the waiting barge. The captain will
welcome you on board with a Kir Royal and introduce you to the other
passengers.
After a tour of inspection, settle down comfortably on
the deck and rediscover the slow, leisurely tempo of yesteryear in the course
of an unforgettable cruise amidst the glorious landscapes and heady fragrances
of Burgundy.
What could be more tempting to a gourmet's palate than
the prospect of mouth-watering regional dishes enticingly concocted by our chef. And,
of course, it is only fitting that the distinguished selection of wines should hail from the
cellars of La Reine Pedauque and from the fabled vineyards of the Côte de
Beaune.
The afternoon speeds by all too quickly but there's
still time to make acquaintance with the other guests in the convivial
atmosphere of the bar.
Towards 5 pm your journey comes to an end and the
hotel-barge makes fast for the night. Our chauffeur will drive you back to the chateau.
Total excursion time: 8 to 9 hours.
Price for 2 persons € 320 / 3 Persons € 350 /
4 Persons € 380.
Up, up and away in a beautiful Balloon!
Welcome to the magical world of hot-air balloons
soaring high in the skies above Château la Chassagne. Let the wind be your
guide as you look down on landscapes dear to the poet Lamartine who once lived
in the Château de Montculot overlooking the Ouche Valley. After touchdown at a
place of the wind's choosing, it's time for a celebratory glass of champagne. The
departures take place early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The entire
journey lasts about 3 hours including 1 hour actual flying time.
Price per person: € 220
Club Crémant de la Confrérie du Château - Become an exclusive member!
In the far-off days of the Dukes of Burgundy, it was
already the custom to slice open bottles of Crémant de Bourgogne with a sword.
This tradition survives today and is suitably honoured by the "Crémant
Club of the Château la Chassagne Confraternity". The master of ceremonies
will show you how to slash open a champagne bottle. From the moment you have
slashed open your own bottle, you belong to the Confrérie du Château la
Chassagne. Experience teaches us that, depending on the skill of the new
member, there will be enough wine left in the bottle for between 4 and 6 toasts
to be drunk in tribute to this feat. Crémant will be served with canapés.
At the end of the ceremony, you will receive a certificate of membership detailing your special rights concerning Château la Chassagne. You will be offered the neck of the bottle you have so dexterously sliced open, handsomely presented in a gift-box.
Make sure you bring your camera along to capture this moment for posterity !
Enthronement ceremony: € 50
